jus now out of boredom i went to library..
and saw this book call - whatever you think, think the opposite..
and after reading a couple or pages..
i think is real nice~~
so i shall share some of the things it wrote inside here..
there is this page which write:
DON'T GO TO UNIVERSITY. GO TO WORK.
and this is how the story goes..
going to university usually means,' i don't know what to do with my life, so i'll go to university"
A gap year confirms this
they are delaying tactics.
some people are lucky enough to know what they want to do early in life.
the majority have great difficulty in putting their assets to useful purpose.
i feel sorry for these people. it isn't easy for them but going to university is not going to solve their problem.
whereas going to work will.
If you start work at 18 you are 5 yrs ahead of some one starting at 23.
at 23, for all your education you will still be the office junior:
if you got your career decisions wrong when you are young, you can alter course, but at 23 it is a bit late to find out you are in wrong job.
so don't go to university unless the subject of ur learning is close to ur heart.
go to work and do ur learning in the school of life
*****
some thoughts after reading~
is quite true tt most of us study jus for the sack of study..
how many of us really study the course that we intend to work in the future?
for me i think will b a no..
i have no idea wht i wanted to do either..
choosing BS is cus i noe i dun need to specialise so soon..
like wht the story say..
we are jus using delaying tactics..
hoping to get more time..
to noe wht we really interested in..
and it is pretty true tt by going to working society early will allow us to learn more..
and in any case we regret wht we choose..
we still have the time to change..
but but..
in singapore society..
it is so contricting..
without a degree cert..
u will b look down by many..
and u will face many close door also..
but wht is the point of obtaning a degree is a course and got a job tt have nothing regard to it?
therefore to enter or not to enter university- different ppl have different view point ba..
jus feel tt the above passage is meaningful. :)
************
jus now when having raffles there..
saw another scene..
seeing ppl using tissue paper to "chop" seat is no more unique to me..
is like getting more and more common.
however,..
jus now at lunch break..
saw this " ang mo" with her child seating on a being chop seats..
a 30+ working adult came by and told her.. " this is our seat, we have place our tissue there"
saw the ang mo confuse look..
think she must have been very stunt..
singaporean actually use tissue to chop seats~?
some how i feel tt it really ruin our image sia..
cus using tissue to chop seats to me is like old man method leh!!!!
working adult also do tt?
a a a a..
really still feel very weird.. =x
*****
some time i really think i sux at consoling ppl..
and some how..
i dunno wht to say..
is like..
i feel like telling him not to cry..
but i noe some how it is impossible not to cry..
who will not cry when u lost some one so important to u?
if ask him cry..
also weirder right?
wht ever i wan to say to console ppl seems wrong..
would any one teach me how to console ppl? =x
anyway..
i now start to feel curious how came certain ppl will gt cancer?
how is cancer cells being develop?
i really have no idea sia..
i ask my mum..
she told me is cus they any how eat..
but how is it possible?
cus a lot of famous/ rich ppl also gt it..
perhaps they even eat bird nest every day?
so how exactly cancer is being form?
